Contents: Share: The Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association (TTIGA) has announced the Texas Guaranty Fee due for each title policy issue will increase to $3 starting Oct. 1, 2026. TTIGA has given notice to all Texas title agents to collect an increased Guaranty Fee charge on each owner and lender title insurance policy issued in the state, beginning with closings after September 30, 2026. Review notice re: the new, increased fee that you’ll begin collecting after Sept. 30, 2026 TTIGA is a non-profit, unincorporated association of all Texas-licensed title insurance companies. It collects the policy guaranty fee from title insurance transactions to fund the title insurance agent audit function of the Texas Department of Insurance and to fund the payment of covered escrow account shortages resulting from the insolvency of a title insurance agent.
